I've noticed recently that Ford has been putting other brand names on its pickup trucks, apparently as some kind of marketing strategy.

Here's another from a 2003 Ford pickup. King Ranch, for those of you who aren't familiar with Texas, is the state's largest ranch. Originally, it was larger than some other states.

Are these customized trim pieces or are those the actual model names? The first shot appears altered. The lines in the background look "painted" as in PS Oil Paint filter. The second shot looks much more authentic. An even better question is were these chrome lables both created on the computer?

You know me better than that. These are actual photos of actual trucks sitting on a dealer's lot. They are special edition vehicles designed, I suppose, to get someone to pay a little more for the priviledge of having a Harley (et. al.) Ford truck.

No retouching. The pattern on the side is a reflection from the Texas blue sky above. Here's the original, before I cropped it an rotated slightly.

Ok Walter, I believe you. If you look at the first one however, maybe you can see how it might be taken out of context due to the closeup. The uncropped version makes things clear.

Can you buy those vehicles with custom trim peices or did they make just a few select models with those labels?
