Barbarian superbly done. These are not that easy to capture. The spot in the upper right, is that a star or someother heavenly object?

Could you provide us with your camera settings in case anyone would like to take a gander at replicating this?

Aloha

I used manual setting. I figured it thus:

The moon is essentially being illuminated as in a bright, sunny day on a very dark grey surface. So the f16 rule should work with a couple of stops extra exposure. I don't remember what the ASA setting was, but the EV was essentially equivalent to f16 at the reciprocal of the ASA, plus two stops wider.

I messed with the contrast and brightness as well as the saturation, to get the final shot.

The dot is actually an artifact. There was a star there, but the sensor didn't have the sensitivity range to get the moon and the star.

So I replaced it.
