These photos were shot two weeks ago, specifically for this challenge. They are not "archive" photos. These are the same photos posted as samples in the challenge description. Since nobody ever comments on the sample photos, I reposted them here.

Both photos were shot in downtown Portland at the waterfront along the Willamette River. The first shows the little lamb resting on the railing of a painted iron fence. The second show the lamb atop one of the concrete supports for the fence.

Nikon D100, Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 lens, ISO200
Upper Photo: 1/6oth at f20 shifted program mode
Lower photo: 1/60th at f16 shifted program mode

Don't jump little lamb, 'twould make me weep

Besides, the waters only two inches deep

You've much to live for, let me say

Cal, help her off that rail. OK?

I like the first shot for it's uncluttered simplicity and nice saturation.

Cal,

Are you taking that first shot from the river side of the bridge? Don't put your life in danger for a mere photoshoot....

Those small apertures really gives the shots almost infinite DOF. Almost the same principle as a pinhole camera.

I agree with Walter, the first shot has more eye appeal than the second.

Makes you wonder, doesn't it? No, that is a concrete ramp on the right side and normal sidewalk on the left.
