I like this photo but I fear that some may be offended by it and say it is blasphamous. The clocks are definitely out of place. I have never seen a clock on an altar. It is not unusual to see a clock on the wall of a chapel. If you didn't have a clock in the chapel that the preacher could see, how would he know when to end his sermon....

If there are no objections, I will leave this here. However, if anyone complains on religious grounds, it may be necessary to remove it.

I love outdoor alters, I really think they provide a truly peaceful setting in which to contemplate ones lfe. And this looks like a truly serene place. The clocks really do look 'dislocated' in this natural setting. Great photo.

Jeff,

The composition reminds me of the following verse from TS Eliot:

And indeed there will be time

For the yellow smoke that slides along the street,

Rubbing its back upon the window-panes; 25

There will be time, there will be time

To prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet;

There will be time to murder and create,

And time for all the works and days of hands

That lift and drop a question on your plate; 30

Time for you and time for me,

And time yet for a hundred indecisions,

And for a hundred visions and revisions,

Before the taking of a toast and tea.

Only one small critique, I wish that the faces of the clocks were a bit more visible. Lovely idea.

Aloha

This one shows the faces of the clocks much better, although the top is cut off.
