Taking a different appoach to this flight challenge. No objects are actually in flight but there is a portrayal of flight.

These shots show the detailed design of flying Japanese tsuru (cranes) on a wedding kimono. The kimono is made of silk and the crane design embroidered using touches of gold thread occasionally.

The first shot is a close up of the tsuru in flight and the next shot gives the full design of the kimono.

As you can imagine these are not cheap. This one isactually pre-owned and was selling at a bargain price (about $1000).

and the full effect

Beautiful fabric. Japanese silk amazes me. The workmanship is extraordinary and the fabrics are beautiful. Since Vanessa has given her stamp of approval, I'll go along. It is stepping outside the box.
