Just got back last night from a too-brief vacation in Montana. On a hike near Bozeman I spotted this hawk circling and then landing in a large nest. I only had my 24-70 2.8L lens (leaving my 70-200L back in the car). Still, I was pleased with what I got.

Canon 20D, 24-70 2.8 @ 70mm, ISO 200, F8

BTW, both shots were cropped at more than 100%
