Hi,

Hope this qualifies as the light source was nothing portable. But I'll post it anyway and let you decide.

15s, F2.7, taken with a Canon Powershot S2 IS.

With the exception of the size of the image, I find the photo acceptable. The use of floodlights to illuminate a portion of a mountain or monument.

Please try to limit the maximum dimension of posted photos to about 700-800 pixels. This is for the benefit of people using dialup and get slow load times for large images.

Very dramatic lighting. Nicely captured.

Thank you for your comments; sorry for the size, I edited the post and resized the picture, hadn't noticed when I posted the picture.

By the way, this was a circumstancial shot as I didn't have a tripod with me that day, I parked my truck and I saw the scene, I couldn't resist and I used the roof and some other object to get the camera still.

By the way Calr, you were saying a remote is important for these shots; you can make it without one, you can program your camera to shoot in 10 seconds, and program it to the shutter speed you like; this way yuo will give the tripod and camera 10 seconds to stop moving and then it will take the picture automatically.

Regards
