This is a scanned 35mm negative shot several years ago. This is a sunset scene observed on the 17-Mile scenic drive (includes several golf courses) just North of Carmel by the Sea in central California. My wife shot a similar shot. We had to wait about a half hour for the sun to be "just right". We also had to compete with about twenty other people for the same shot!

Nikon F100, Sigma 28-80 f2.8 lens (the same lens I use on my D100), Agfa Optima 100 film. Exposure not recorded.

I'm a sucker for sunset silhouette shots. This one is quite well done.

Hi Cal, this is very close to home! Ain't that a great stretch between Monterey and Carmel? Although it's a very foggy area (particularly in the summer time), it'sbeautiful and relaxing. Nice sunset you captured!
