A quick post... I took this from a balcony (two storeys / floors up) looking across to the very top leaves / stems of a smallish tree with the sun setting behind it (across the road, the house's roofnext door is the "horizon").

Hope it qualifies and you like it. No post processing was done except a crop and a bit of sharpening. That is no saturation or colour change was done ... the sky's colour was lovely!

Paul

PS I forgot to say this photo taken with my 100-300mm f4.5-5.6 Canon lens zoomed till 300mm at f8 on my XT / 350D camera. It's a lens I like a lot and I enjoyed using it at the sea on my recent holiday.

Beautiful colors you captured there, Paul. I'm not the moderator but I think even though some leaves are illuminated, most are not, forming a nice silhouette. So I thinkit qualifies.

Thanks for your comments Tullio!

Glad you also appreciated the raw orange colours (and hues between yellow and red) caught in this photo.

Yes I wasn't sure if the leaves were perfected "silhouetted" or if some of the reflection of the sun illuminated them a bit (because of the zoom factor and direction of the sun too).

Still, your reply is most gracious!

Selvin, your words are too kind!

But I do appreciate your appreciation of the thought and work that went into capturing the photo (which i'm quite pleased with myself).

Thanks, and as you're a moderator of this forum I take your comments with extra gratitude!

All the best

Paul
