I just won this lens on ebay, Sigma 18-35, F3.5-4.5 Wide Angle. Now I'm wondering if it will actually fit my new Canon RebelXTI?

My bad, should have checked before I bid. Can anyone answer my question? I'm kind of new to photography so, I'm a bit green around the edges.

Well, I believe there is such a lens for the EOS system. Saw on a closeout at $149. US

I think it has been a while since Sigma has made an 18-35mm lens.If it doesn't work with your camera, Sigma may re-chip it for you, but if it is too old I don't believe they will, at least for free anyway.

i am guessing it would be better bet to go for the canon 18-55 kit lens

its cheap and pretty decent. and USM is far better than the focusiing speed of sigma 18-35 or even 18-50.
