of course the bigger screen is great but also the quicker better af .the dust sensor helps .the controls are easier and gives more and better options but most of all it was probably just a man thing.

The XTI is a high performance camera new generation of EOS Rebel series.

The large lcd screen gives an experienced photogrpher to check the exposure even without turning the histogram on, like a jewlery dealer he can check the quality of a diamond with a loupe faster than a non experienced/amateur buyer.

The Picture Style of the XTI give the photographer instant access to switch from b&w to color and back like a magician, XTI manual don't show this trick, other cameras you have to dig deep in layer and layer of menu from sunrise to sunset for b&w feature.

The AF of the XTI is proven lightning fast on the field, it's not pickyabout any lens you use on it.

If you need the features of the XTi and have the financial means, then go for it. The XT is still a fine camera to learn and use.
