Default A crazy question... laugh if you must

I'm fairly certain that the answer to this is NO, but is there any way to convert a Canon 35mm SLR to digital? I heard that the body of a Digital Rebel and a Rebel 2000 are essentially the same thing, and it got me wondering...

No. It has been tried by a few companies. None of them every put out any product.

There are many subtle problems, like the placement of the sensor in relation to the film plain.. it has to be very precisly placed.
