Okay, I have been using Canon Cameras for many years. I recall that one of the Software products provided by Canon for editing pictures had a feature that allowed you to see where you actually locked focus with you camera. The software actually showed you the "red focus points" where you camera locked focus.

May have the wrong forum for this question but does anyone remember that software feature?

The focus point doesn't really help if you focus and recompose.
