Has anyone used this yet?
Does it connect to a network or can the connection be done adhoc. If it supports adhoc that would be awesome!

Yes, I have it, not used it in anger yet, I keep wanting to but really haven't had a chance with security etc for the kit. You can do it either with your normal wifi network or just with a single laptop and no network (assuming the laptop has wifi). I haven't tried the latter yet either but read on their site how to do it.

The latter would be preferential via adhoc.
This is where it would come in most handy as most vebues dont just have available networks.

Exactly, I plan to just to use an old laptop attached and not worry about anything else.

Yep thats the idea I had. would be nice to set up a goal cam and trigger it remotely with a cell, then again it would be just as easy to buy a remote radio kit. I can use my pocket wizards for that matter and dont need a laptop.

It's not as cool as being able to see what the camera is seeing, change all the settings, review the photos taken etc

But yep, it would work LOL.

No not as cool but what are you going to see on a mobile phone screen anyhow? Not much.

I don't have an iPhone, but I do have an iPod touch and it works great with the iPod touch.
