Default Arc of lightness on some photos

I have an early digital rebel. On some photos an arc of lightness appears, always in the same spot. Camera sent to Canon several years ago and was not fixed. Different lenses result in same problem. Do I have a defective sensor? curtain? etc. Please see attached photo

I would guess a gap between the lens and the lens mount when you hold the camera/lens in a particular way. Probably on the right hand side of the lens. See if there is any flex there - you could probably do some experiments to say for sure.

Because it happens with different lenses I think your mount is probably a bit loose or defective. Canon should be able to tighten it up for you, or alternatively my cameras lens mount screws are clearly visible (not sure about yours) so a bit of careful tightening with some good small screwdrivers might do the trick.
