Hello Ned, and thank you for your kind words concerning my picture.

About cameras that can take the cold - You will probably not find any dSLR-manufacturer that will guarantee its camera to work in below freezing-temperatures. They'll do that to be on the safe side. On the other hand, I have never, ever experienced problems with either the camera, the LCD or the internal batteries that I have used in my cameras. Just use common sens and you will be all right.

Well, when it comes to batteries I do not speak of recharchable A6-batteries which will drain pretty fast in freezing conditions.

What you have to be careful with, when using digital cameras in the cold, is the handling after you have taken your pictures. We discussed this in another thread her, not so long ago: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/ge...mera-work.html

I love taking night-photos in cold conditions, because the air is so clear and free of pollution that the pictures get a very crisp and clear look.
