Default Testing the waters with the T2i

Hello Canonites (is that the correct term?):

I'm a current Pentaxian testing out the waters in Canonland. My only prior exposure to Canon was with an old digital Elph and S2 IS. I just purchased a T2i, mainly for the purpose of shooting video. This is not my first time using a DSLR, though; I own a Pentax K-7 and a K-x (both great still cameras). What sold me over to the big C was the addition of a mic jack and the 60p framerate in a sub-$900 body. After seeing slow-motion clips made with the camera, I had to try it.

Here's my very first test video made with the T2i, in 3 different flavors for your viewing pleasure. I used the EF-S 60mm f/2.8 for everything, and a Steadicam Merlin for the 1st shot.

Depending on how things pan out with my tests, I may stick around for a bit longer. So, hello, world.

Welcome to Canonland. That video looks great. i really like the slow-motion effect. the video looks very clear even in the low-light. the 60 2.8 looks great here, its one of my favorite prime lenses!

since being introduced, i have been interested in the t2i for its great video features for a reasonable price. have entertained trading in my 50d for it, but i may go all out and get the 5dmkii after saving a bit.

Looks great! I really like the music you used with it. The low light video came out great.
