Default Digital Rebel and Mac 10.3 Panther

Hi, is anyone using a Digital Rebel with a Mac that has OSX Panther software installed. I just bought the Rebel and could not install the software that came with the camera. Any ideas? and do I even need to install the software that comes with the camera? I already have Photoshop 7 on my computer.

I had no problem installing the included software on two separate Macs running OS10.3 (a G4-400 iMac and a 12" PowerBookG4).

You can import from the camera directly from iPhoto without the installed software. You can import directly from the CF card using a reader. I'm not yet sure if it's essential to transform the RAW files using the installed utility. I wasn't able to do it using Photoshop Elements, but will try in the future using the regular version of Photoshop.

I have the 300D with the kit lens and use a Mac G4 and OS 10.3.1. I currently download the CF card with a SanDisk reader and USB 2.0. The direct download from the camera is very slow with raw images. I convert the images to .tif with the file viewer utility, and utilize PS 7 for further image modification. Works good.
