Lenses make all the different in image quality.

With a FF camera like a 50DMKII, you will really want to invest in good glass to take advantage to that great sensor.

Default Canon 10D versus 7D

I am an amateur with a 10D with a 35-80mm and a 70-200mm L lens. I thought about upgrading to a new Nikon or 7D. I found out the lenses wont work on the Nikon and the 7D price is a little steep right now.
My main complaint is the poor quality of indoor action/sporting photos. I thought about an external flash but have heard conflicting info. I've read you can not buy an external flash for the 10d and then I've heard one certain speedlite model will work?
Any suggestions?
