That is very true, I have put the canon T1i through it's paces allot 25000 actuation in 11 months.. And the specs are very accurate. If you are seriously considering the T1i, you really have no worries. Burst rate is as promised. 24 shots before shutter lag with a class 10 card, 18 with a class 6 in daylight.

I guess T1i has a fluorite coating on one of the low pass filters.
