Default Preset Quantaray

Just got my new 300 in the mail and now the fun starts..I have an old preset Quantaray 500mm lense that I used on an Minolta, could I use this lense with a t-mt, if so, how would I focus it? Thanks Paco

Default preset

The focus would not be quite as easy as with your old film camera since the Canon lacks any type of central aid but you can focus just on the glass. I just adapted a preset 400 to the 300D using a new adapter (under $20). Quantaray was a Ritz Camera brand and their larger stores sell the needed adapter although any brand T-mount adapter will do.

Because of the 1.6 crop factor, your 500 will seem like an 800 so it is definitely tripod time. I posted a couple results of the 400 on my page:
