Default Manual selection of (multiple?) AF points on T2i

So... after perusing the manual briefly, it appears that there is not a way to manually select multiple autofocus points? Or am I misunderstanding -- that the camera only uses one focus point at a time? I appreciate any clarity that can be offered.

actually you if you choose all, the camera decide which one to use. And yes if you use manual AF point you can only choose 1. As the camera will set focus to that distance. When the camera in on auto points. It lights up all the af points that are in focus at that distance, not multiple distance.
