I'm a fan of the lenses because I know that they have been individually inspected and will not have focus issues. I am more confident in those than new lenses.

For me it's just a waiting game because all the lenses I want are usually out of stock for such a long time.

I buy allot of canon refreb lenses, they are always spot on. The bodies are pretty good as well. But the lenses are well worth a look.
Super Frequent Flyer, no joke. Ex Patriot and loving it.

Purchased a 40d refurb body for my daughter 2 years ago & it's been perfect. Looked new when it arrived. It was a Canon refurb but I purchased it through Adorama because they extend the warranty to 1 year.

Bought a 7D refurb from them about 8 months ago and it was and is perfect, other than the box and the sticker you could not tell it was not new, it has also been a perfect performer. I would do it again without hesitation! Steven
