Default 5D Mark III video

Hello, just received my 5D Mark III couple days ago. I got a question on video focusing. Still trying to figure how it works. Is it true that when recording video, it will not have the auto focusing like the camcorder? Is there a way to have it setup that way? I have the 24-70mm L mounted on the camera , and when changing subject, I need to manually adjust the focus on the lens but sometimes not accurate. Do I need to purchase a device? I saw some steadicam device has something to adjust the lens ? Any help will be great. I never shot and video from a camera. My first 5D
