Default Drebel & I9100... match made in heaven?

Ok.. I've had my I9100 printer for a while but I just got some 13X19 paper today. Most of my pictures I've taken with the DRebel have been less than perfect conditions... High ISO, not the best colors due to horrible lights, etc. But I just HAD to print something! So I took one of my Zoo pics, which was ISO 400, ran it through Neat Image. Then I simply used EZ Photo printer (came with the printer) and told it to print 13X19. Now the way I figure it after I did a little cropping the final image was printed at about 140 DPI... no where near optimal... So I set my expectation accordingly. Well, it took about 4 minutes to print... And the results? Absolutely stunning! I love this camera and printer! To be able to get these kind of results at home, shooting ISO 400 no less, is incredible! I'm just blown away!

Sorry to ramble on.. but I know no one in this house will truly appreciate this achivement like you guys... so I just had to share!

Try "rezzing up" your pictures using Photoshop (or Elements) ,or better yet, Genuine Fractals. I think they have a trial version. I print 13 X 19's from a 2.6 MP Canon Pro90 that look great. Bet your DRebel will do an even better job.

My favorite paper is Epson Heavyweight Matte. It sells for about a dollar a sheet on the Web for 13 X 19's. I use an old Epson 1270 and love the results.

Somebody posted a comment about 12 X 18 prints from Costco for $2.99 each. Give that a try...
