I finally got a chance to get my hands on a 1Ds MarkII. The Canon rep even allowed those who had their own compact flash cards to shoot sample shots. The camera looks and feels pretty much like a 10D with the portrait grip. It's slightly heavier thanthe 10D a portrait grip and two batteries. The speed of theauto focus and continuous frame rate is incredible! If you have a 10D and you hold down the shutter to get the continuous frame mode, imagine that the rate is twice as fast and the number of shots twice as many! They had a 10D there for comparison purposes. Canon has started to ship the MarkII but the waiting list now is about 3 months. I had to talk my self out of ordering one. I did end up purchasing a 75-300 IS USM lens.
