I upgraded to the EOS 20D from Minolta Dimage 7i so this is a big step for me. I have a this lense combination, EF 17-40F4L, EF 70-200 F4L. First impression is that camera with this set of lenses works realy great, fast focus, good colors and contrast, good ergonomics, good battery life. Few bad things are average built in flash (underexposed photos but i am waiting for 580EX), low baterry life if you are using battery pack filled with 6 AA Ni-MH batteries and for now that is all. Photos that i make with that camera and many more u can see on my personal web gallery www.mirkobeovic.com

The battery holder/batteries is really intended only as a "parachute" in case you get stuck in the field with no recourse to a recharge power supply. The camera will drain them dry pretty quick. Again, it is not intended as a regular use item.
