Got two items for my bday: the Lowepro Nature Trekkar AW, and a Bogan monopod.

I really like the monopod - nice for when I don't want to set up a tripod (not that I have a good one right now), and it'll come in handy when I take pics on the Blueridge (waterfall areas and some other fairly uneven ground). I like the adjustable snaps instead of the screw-in type (takes too long), and it seems very sturdy.

The backback blew me away - it's HUGE! But at least this time I won't outgrow my camera bag - at least for a VERY long time. It is nice to have everything right at my fingertips instead of stacked on top of each other, buried under velcro dividers. I also like the extra padding - makes me feel a little better than my investment is better proctected.

Ahh!! I've had the camera less than two weeks and the collection of things for it has started to grow...
