What's the status on your decision? Are you still waiting?

I am no expert. Through reading a lot of forum information,I have arrived at a betterunderstanding of the Digital Rebel. In the beginning, the DRebel seemed to take some very dark exposures. I was disappointed.

Now, armed with a little more knowledge,my pictures are turning out satisfactory. Before the Rebel, I had a (1994) 35mm Rebel XS, an earlier version of Canon's involvement into designing lightweight, plastic-bodied cameras. It still works fine, and it can handle a heavy 28-105 lens.

Let us know where you are with your decision.

The plastic body hasn't been an issue for me, it seems to be very durable. As I shoot 95% in raw format the white balance has not been an issue either. Overall the 300D has been a great camera for my uses. The major dissapointment has been the slow start up time. The quality of images is excellent.
