I have a canon 20d and would like to use my sunpak 383 flash when the cameras flash doesn't reach out far enough, or when I want bounce lighting etc.

Does anyone have any advise on what settings my 20d and sunpak 383 should be set at. My first attempt achieved overexposed pictures.

You can increase the camera's ISO which will augment the flash range
