Hi guys
can anyone tell me How to get a long exposure shots more than 30 sec.
I know there is an option as Bulb exposure, but the problem is I have to keep the button pressed for the desired time, which is not practical for some exposures as long as 1 to 2 hours.

I would appreciate if any one has better options

Thanks in advance

I am pretty sure that the wireless remote has a setting that will allow you to use Bulb. You push the button and the shutter opens, push it again and it closes. But I'm not sure.

If you have a computer handy, I'm pretty sure you can use the capture software with the camera and USB to set the length of time for the shutter.

Other than that, that's all I have. It's not like my old Minolta X-570 that has the wired release that can be clamped open.

Good Luck,

the wired remote will work for you. You press the button and it can lock. I would bet the using a computer would allow you to set 3 minutes and walk away but I have not tried.
