I am trying to take advantage of this application however it is so temperamental, I can not really work out why it works sometimes and not others?

Does anyone else use it? Or can you suggest a better application?

Any help what so ever would be appreciated.

Mac OS Tiger & Canon 20D

P.s. The error I receive is Communication port is in use. Close all other programs. Obvously nothing else is open?

I presume you are referring to connecting the camera to the PC....

I'd suggest using a card reader and not even connecting your camera to the computer.....I had similar problems with my Olympus and have never since connected my camera to the PC where it's treated like another drive. My 20D will never get connected to any computer directly, particularly for downloading...

Do you have the most current version of Canon Capture?

I haven't had any trouble trying to use the 20D teathered under PC control so far (trying to find somethng made of wood to knock on it :-) ).

Latest software releases I know of are
ZoomBrowser EX 5.2.1(windows) ImageBrowser 5.2.0a(Mac)
EOS Capture 1.3
Digital Photo Professional 1.6.1
EOS Viewer Utility 1.2.1

latest EOS 20D Firmware is 2.0.0
