Just a little fun little question for all you XT owners out there. What color do you have? Silver or Black? With or without the BG-E3 grip? Just curious, that's all. Cheers!:-)

Silver - for three reasons: I like the look better, doesn't get as hot in the sun, it's what was in stock

No grip for me, but I do have a couple extra NB-2LH batteries

Black no grip.

Although it does look very small and out of proportion stuck to a 100-400 lens!

Black (we Europeans do not have the silver in shops...), and it looks better with my body:blah:.

No grip, prefer to have spare batteries, and was not convience it is usefull... may be wrong on that one!

BTW, why don't you set up the question with a poll????

Black w/ grip. The grip was necessary for me. The XT is so small, I could hardly hold onto it. Also, it did not balance well on the tripod with long lenses. No matter how much I adjusted, it still tipped forward. I imagine that is one reason the grip seems to be weighted--it's quite heavy, relatively speaking. On the XT, the battery grip transforms the camera. I chose black, because I thought maybe I could switch with my wife's 20D and she wouldn't notice. She did.

My daughter gave me a silver XT for my birthday. I added the BG-E3 grip for two reasons-big hands and I liked being able to use AA batteries in a pinch. I couldn't be more happy with this camera.

When I got my 350D, I had the choice of both colours, as they were both in stock. So I thought: "hmmm, I think I'll get the black one, just because they look a bit cooler" However, about 2 weeks later when I was shopping for a Manfrotto 190CL tripod, I found that the black model was $20 more expensive, and I wasn't prepared to actually pay more for the privelage of getting the thing in Black. But I'm not getting a battery pack, as I already have a spare battery and I'm happy with the current grip in it's vertical orientation.

Also, first post! w00t!
