It's a different ballgame alright

It used to be just a Canon/Nikon war - but now that the dSLRs have reached a critical mass we've seen major alliances of dSLR's manufacturers (consumer electronics) shaping up: Sony/Minolta, Samsung/Pentax, and Matsushita/Olympus... All manufacturers of IC's and CMOS sensors. With more competitions the price will head down even faster which is better for everyone

Canon saw this coming which is why they positioned their unique full-frame 5D - Make me wonder about privately owned Nikon though with no IC's fab or financial might... :shock:
