Silly Question. Why not use the very capable Canon supplied DPP Digital Photo Professional.

One of the reasons besides trying to choose a good Camera I went with Canon is they provided cross platform high quality Raw image editor for free. That and Cameras captured High Quality JPG/Raw where others frequently limited you to Raw with lower quality jpeg.

I have Photoshop but rarely use it. There are of course many tools out there but DPP is certainly a good choice.
