Default 10D ICC Issue

I think I may have stumbled on something troubling while fooling around with the Canon 10D's controls. It seems that the Adobe RGB setting only gets applied when shooting in manual modes -- but not when shooting in any of the program modes. Can you verify this? If it's true, doesn't this seem like a rather stupid limitation? I like to use manual mode most of the time, but sometimes time doesn't permit. Has anyone else run into this?

I'm going to be purchasing one this week, so I can't say from first hand experience.... but I have done a lot of research.

I believe you are incorrect. Many things are disabled when in aRGB... but I believe that the program modes (P, Tv, Av,...) do work. I've never fully understood exactly what is disabled when in aRGB, though. I'd like to see a complete list.

Lin Evans has a 10D, lets hope he sees the question and answers... he is very knowledgeable.
