for a good moon shot, you need at least a 400mm lens. a 70mm lens will only give you a tiny ball. even with 400mm, you'll need to crop to get a decent sized print. set up a tripod, set your camera for between 1/250 and 1/320 (for a full moon on a clear night) at f8-f11. experiment with various shutter speeds till you get the exposure you want.
