Default Canon D-60 with EF 1.4 and 2.0 Extenders

My D-60 modest lens inventory includes:
EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
EF 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM
ED 100mm f/2.8 Macro

I'm thinking about adding either an EF 1.4x or 2.0x extender for greater reach. I regularly use a tripod or monopod for distance shots.

Can the above lenses be used with these extenders? What are the respective pros and cons of the 1.4 vs the 2.0, other than reach?

Many Thanks.

The question about compatability is a serious one. The TCs won't fit every lens. Unfortunately, I don't know which they will fit. I assume there is a web page at canon.com which woulds say.... If you find a list, I'd be very interested in it. Please post a link.

Another thing to consider is that you will loose the ability to auto focus on everything but the 100 macro. I believe both those TCs will push them beyond the maximum f-stop at their longest end, if not through out their range.

You'll also loose sharpness. You might not care, though. Some do.
