After the events, I learned quite a bit. Unfortunately, I could not put the rear flash gun high up because there was nothing suitable to achieve this, so I end up puttingit on a shelf(normal height). I had my other flash on the camera. I notice something that when the dancers are moving about andrear gun are hidden behind the dancers, the rear one failed to lit up. Is this normal?

I'm assuming that your rear light was being optically triggered, not radio frequency triggered. If so, the dancers were blocking enough of the on camera flash light to prevent the rear flash from being triggered.
