I have an S3 that I use, it does wonderful, no complaints really.

But I would like to begin utilizing it's capabilities. More specifically I want to start using different lens and shooting methods to accommodate them.

I pretty much understand the basics of the telephoto lens. It needs to be a plug and play pretty much, so an adapter is needed. Most likely a 58mm, then the lens attaches to it for an extra 2x or whatever.

What does have me puzzled is the description for the close-up lens.

They didn't call it a macro lens, so I was wondering if that meant I would be able to focus on a close-up target by using my zoom?

Because as it stands now, I cannot, the focus will not allow me to zoom that close, so if that is what the close-up lens/filter does, that would be wonderful.

But before I buy it could someone explain it is laymen's terms?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Jake,

Looks like you posted this in the dSLR section rather than the digicam section..... one of the mods might pic this up or you might want to post again.
