Hello all,

As the title states, I would like a recommendation for a lens to use with my Canon XT for Eyewear photography.
I have a light box , Tripod and a Canon XT but no lens. This camera will only be used for taking pictures of Eyewear, frames, sunglasses etc.

The result im looking for would be similar to these product photographs here: https://www.coastalcontacts.com/glasses

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How much are you willing to spend? How close do you want to get to the items?

IMHO a 18-55 lens would be more than enough for this kind of photographs for

1) You can use large f number to get the required DOF

2) Light is not a factor because u can add any number of artificial lights to get the required exposure

Though some speciality lens like the tilt/shift help in increasing the DOF over a plane, with a large f number u can get a good DOF.

So my advice is just go for a 18-55 standard lens. But opinions may vary
