On my Canon 30D, I currently use a EFS 17-85mm and a Sigma EX 120-300mm DG HSM. I had planned on purchasing a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS yet now find my common subjects are my three Savannah kittens. These are almost always indoor shots. The favorite room for shooting is the sunroom so lighting, during the daytime, is one issue. Where I seem to be falling very short is on action shots. Savannahs are extremely quick, agile and can leap 6-7 feet high. I am missing almost every action shot with my current lenses. I realize part of the problem is within my learning curve yet from what I have read, I do not have the correct lens. Additionally, I do not believe the 70-200 would do much better for this particular need.
Please provide suggestions and/or opinions as to current lenses available for these types of shots. Link below will show some of the current photos yet none of the blown shots...
