Default Tamron 70-300 f4-5.6 Macro 1:2 or anything more penny wise?

A shop offered me a Sigma 70-300 (f4.5- no macro) for just E99.- For European price value a rare bargain.
While looking around I noticed in another shop a Tamron 70-300 f4-5.6 with macro 1:2 price E199.-.

I'm definitly not expecting to take photos of wildlife, it is just that a powerfool tele lens can be handy in rare occassions. The Tamron 300mm with 1:2 macro will be more usefull for me. Macro magnification power is a deciding factor.

With lightweight (<500gr) 28-200/300mm lenses getting more and more common, that might also be an option; A travel lens, cheap, lightweight and versatile (less lens swap = less dust on ccd = less lugage).

My questions;
- How good are the 28-200/300 lenses compared to 70-300?
- Do these alround lenses have powerfull macro?
- Anyhow how does Tamron 70-300 score pound wise? Any other options below 700 gr and SSSS ?
