One other option, is to obtain an old manual short focal length lens in the 28mm to 50mm range, any brand will do, and get (or make) a matching reversing ring for your body.

This makes for an excellent and high magnification macro setup, you just don't hear about people doing it any more !

Here is how to make your own reversing ring set-up:

You just need to visit a photo junk shop to get a nice old manual lens and a matching filter you can destroy also a body cap for your body that will be cut up

The shorter the focal length the higher the magnification!

Imaging is all about light and your ability to sculpt it.
Equipment is just a secondary nuisance.
