with all ive heard and read about dust getting on the sensors when you change the lenses on the camera i was wondering if doing this inside a zip lock bag ,garbage bag or some other encloser would help reduce this problem.sounds silly but just wondered if this was over kill or maybe something nobody thought about before.

It is a bit paranoid, but there is something to be said for it. If you were on a beach and there was some wind, I would at least be careful to change the lens with my body blocking the wind. If I used a lens small enough, I might change it within a camera bag. I don't think I'd go so far as to change it within a garbage bag or something similar.

Dust on the sensor is annoying, but not fatal. It isn't that hard to clean the sensor. I just wish canon would put something in their cameras to do it automatically.
