What would you suggest for a wide-angle zoom lens that would provide sharp/bright pics in indoor low-light without the use of a flash or only using the built-in flash (no external flash) for light travel.

Please define what you mean by wide angle, to me that is the widest range currently available which is the

Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-5.6
Sigma 10-20mm F/4.0-5.6
Tamron 11-18 F/4.0-5.6

Non of which are very fast lenses, and with the 20D 1.6 crop they get you into the 16/17 mm range for wide angles.
