I'm going to buy a Canon 20D camera and I'm trying to decide which lens to buy. I'm looking for a general purpose lens, and am considering the Tamron 18-200, the Sigma 18-200, or the Sigma 70-300. I'm looking for some help in picking the lens.

sigma 18-200 all the way.. sharper than the tamron and more versatile than the 70-300.. like i mentioned in another post, i have seen some reviews and testimonials that the sigma 18-200 is as sharp as some lenses costing much more.. and the pictures that backed up these reviews were quite impressive for a lens with this much range and at this price..

You will have less headaches and better long term performance if you use Canon EF or EF-S lenses.
