I have a Rebel XT with the kit lens. I wanted to buy another zoom lens for it. I am not a professional photographer and don't get prints bigger than 8 x 11 (at the max. usually 5 x 7) I don't have too much money (around $150) any suggestions for the lens. I take everyday pictures including some birds in flight and sports. I wouldn't mind buying a used lens form a reputable online store either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all your help.

The Sigma 55-200 or the new 70-300 APO DG look to be right up your alley. Best wishes.

I second with the 70- 300. You even have 1:2 macro... it's like a bonus!

but make sure it says APO. the other model is a no no.

i agree.. with the kit lens... adding the 70-200 APO would be a good choice.. make sure its the Macro Super II APO version though...
