How do you upload movies taken with this camera from the computer back to the camera to play on a tv? I tried with Zoombrowser, but get an error that the movie is not an acceptable format when it is...I haven't changed any settings after it is initially downloaded. Any help appreciated.

What is prompting the error is that Zoombrowser is actually trying to upload the thumbnail image of the movie, not the actual movie file. I have not figured out yet how to get around this yet with my wife's camera.

Thanks for the response. I did email Canon support and I'll see what they say. I wonder if getting a card reader and transferring the movies via this way will work...which I'll probably try anyway since I plan to get one.

Here's the response I got back from Canon, for anyone interested:
Thank you for your inquiry. I apologize for any inconveniences you have experienced with uploading your movie clips back to the camera. Unfortunately the ZoomBrowser software only supports uploading still image files back to the camera. Since the movie clip is not a still image, the software does not recognize it as a valid file. This is why you receive the error message when uploading these files. To copy movie files back to the CF card, you may need to use a CompactFlash card reader to manually move the file to the CF card. Thank you for contacting Canon. |
