My trusty A70 that has served me well has finally died. To tell the truth, I would be happy to get another one just like like it, but... Well, I have been looking around and doing some research. My choices appear to be either the A610 or the A530. I figure that the A610 is the better choice. I could also pick up an older G2. What differences would I see between these and my A70? Will the image quality be any better or worse between the newer models and my A70? As far as price goes, I want to get off as inexpensive as I can. The G2 is probably the least expensive, followed by the A530, and then the A610.

Thanks for the help.

Canon G2 has been discontinued for quite a while. I doubt you can find a new one.

"The difference between the A70 and the A610 is like the difference between a Ford Model T and a Mercedes Benz. Go for the A610. It is quite a camera!

Good luck,

The A610 was discontinued. Grab one while they are still around.
